About

 

The business was started by my mum Cynthia over forty years ago. My mum was formerly trained as a seamstress and started taking on wedding dressmaking and alterations from home which was the start of “The Sewing Room”. We started working together fifteen years ago but mum put me to work long before that, it was as soon as I was old enough to hold a needle……

These days, the main bulk of our work is making curtains and blinds. We’ve made thousands of all sizes, all finishes each one made with the care and skill as if it were going into our front room. For those who need it, we have a fitting service too which has and is one of the highlights of our work getting to see the finished product hung and looking fabulous. We have truly seen some magnificent results.

 

These days we work from my mum's home in what was the garage (including inspection pit) which was converted following the sad departer of my stepdad Terry and made possible by my stepbrother Chris. We are so lucky to have such a great environment to work from and I’m pleased to say the inspection pit all filled in.

Do you provide International delivery?

At this time we do not offer an International service.

What is your returns policy?

 

All items are handmade to order therefore are non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless faulty. Please ensure that you measure before ordering and you chose, please ask if unsure.. 

I only dispatch items that I would be happy to receive however should the items not meet your expectations please contact me.

If your item is damaged during transit please contact me as soon as possible so I can arrange a refund or replacement. Please provide photographs of the packaging and damaged shade to help me arrange compensation from my courier.

How do I track my order?

 

On despatch of your order, we will provide a tracking number for your convenience.

 

 

What are your delivery options?

Our preferred carrier is Hermes but not exclusively we will produce your shade and deliver within 5 working days of order.

Curtains, Blinds and other items do vary and we will inform you of lead times at the time of order.

Delivery is FREE of Charge. Please see other delivery services below please specify on your order if you would prefer next day service.

UK delivery only

Standard delivery within 5 working days  FREE

Daily next/name day delivery £6.95

Named day UK delivery pre-10.30am £9.95
